Surbana Jurong / SMEC -
Delivering Modern VoIP with Microsoft Teams Direct Routing
GCBlue delivered a Unified Communications solution for SMEC / Surbana Jurong, spanning multiple global locations including Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Singapore, Malaysia, and sites across the Philippines and South Africa.
The project involved deploying and upgrading Ribbon voice gateways (SBCs) and implementing Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, migrating away from on-premises Skype for Business Servers and legacy PABXs.
This project enabled a modern VoIP solution for SJ that supports over 20,000 users worldwide,

Thompson Health Care IT Modernisation
Thompson Health Care (THC), based in Gordon, required a complete IT refresh to replace systems that had been in place since 1989. With 18 aged care homes across Australia, GCBlue led a full modernisation project to bring their IT environment up to current standards.
Key initiatives included:

Migration from legacy systems to Microsoft 365.

Deployment of standardised workstations and naming conventions.

Implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) via Azure AD Connect.

User documentation and training for 430+ staff, uplifting technology skills and adoption.
All on-premises servers and applications were migrated to Microsoft Azure, with Veeam backup integration ensuring Microsoft 365 data could be securely restored at any time.
To protect sensitive information, GCBlue deployed FortiGate firewalls alongside Microsoft 365 Defender for Endpoint, securing infrastructure, safeguarding patient data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
From Seven Tenancies to One: A Unified Microsoft 365 for Rugby Australia
The Australian Rugby Union (ARU) required a consolidation of all Microsoft 365 entities into a single tenancy to ensure a consistent and secure environment.

GCBlue successfully migrated seven separate tenancies — including the Melbourne Rebels, Queensland Reds, Brumbies, NSW Waratahs, Rugby Victoria, and Western Force — into the central Rugby Australia Microsoft 365 tenancy, covering more than 640 user accounts.
Nutrimetics - Cutting IT Costs by 50% with Azure Migration
GCBlue has been providing managed support services to Nutrimetics since 2019. More recently, we deployed Microsoft Azure and successfully migrated Nutrimetics from a traditional data centre to Azure — achieving a 50% reduction in monthly costs.

In addition, GCBlue implemented Veeam Backup-as-a-Service to safeguard critical data and project managed Nutrimetics’ website redesign, delivering a modernised and secure IT environment that supports their ongoing growth.

Managed IT Services and Global Device Management for Your Nurse
Since 2022, GCBlue has been providing managed IT support services to Your Nurse for Microsoft 365, covering SharePoint, Exchange/Outlook, and OneDrive.
We liaise directly with third-party application vendors to troubleshoot and deploy required services, ensuring smooth operations.

GCBlue also deployed and manages Microsoft Intune across Your Nurse’s internationally distributed devices, enabling secure remote management — including the ability to wipe lost or stolen devices to protect sensitive data.
